Daily Dominosa
Solve one date-stable Dominosa puzzle with browser-local autosave and a specialist history that stays separate from Today’s 6. The same independently verified source bank powers both Daily and seeded Practice.
One date-stable Dominosa puzzle
Daily Dominosa gives the same local date the same frozen source, symmetry transform and difficulty. It is separate from the platform’s frozen Today’s 6 rotation, so playing or completing it never changes your six-game Daily Score. The specialist Daily exists for players who want a returning Dominosa habit with its own history and streak rather than waiting for a domino-pair puzzle to enter the main rotation.
The 2026 schedule is measured, not assumed
The V0.130 release verifier checks every 2026 date. The frozen selector produces 365 deterministic and valid boards with a measured distribution of 120 Easy, 140 Standard and 105 Challenge dates. In this release all 365 source-transform starts are distinct. That is a measured property of this bank and selector, not a promise that every future year or version will always have 365 distinct combinations. Release QA recomputes the count instead of relying on documentation.
Daily autosave protects an unfinished deduction chain
Every pair, X mark, Undo/Redo state, elapsed time and Assisted flag is stored in the browser under the Daily Dominosa autosave key. Reloading the same date restores the live board rather than starting over. This is especially useful on Challenge dates, where candidate elimination may take many moves. The storage is local-first: there is no account requirement and no remote progress database. Clearing site storage can remove the autosave and specialist history.
A separate streak keeps Today’s 6 honest
Completing Daily Dominosa writes one entry to Dominosa’s own Daily history and updates a specialist streak. It does not write completion data into the Today’s 6 day object. Browser migration tests explicitly check that a populated older store remains byte-unchanged, a new V0.130 store is created, historical Maze and Fillomino statistics survive, Dominosa starts clean, and the Today’s 6 day history does not gain entries just because the new specialist exists.
Clean and Assisted results stay separate
Check and Verified Hint are available on Daily boards, but they mark the run Assisted. A Clean result means you completed the exact-cover puzzle without those helpers. Both are legitimate ways to finish, yet they answer different questions when you look back at your history. Separating them gives practice help without making a hinted solve look identical to an unaided one.
Use the pair ledger as a daily warm-up
Before placing anything, scan the ledger for numeric pairs that have only one or two candidate edges. Then inspect cells near those rare appearances. If a pair type has one remaining location, place it. If a cell has one remaining neighbor, pair it. If neither condition is forced, use X marks to record impossibilities created by already used pair types and occupied cells. This consistent opening routine makes Daily Dominosa useful as a short exact-cover reasoning exercise rather than a guessing task.
Verified Hint follows the same authority as release QA
The runtime’s preferred hint is a current forced move. When no local forced edge is available, the fallback comes from the same frozen completion that an independent release verifier has already reconstructed from the number grid. The verifier does not trust the browser solved state. It rebuilds candidate edges, covers cells and pair types exactly once, counts completions and requires uniqueness. This gives the Daily helper a clear authority chain without a remote solver call.
Practice after the Daily without changing the result
After finishing or pausing the date-stable puzzle, open regular Practice to generate another seeded board at Easy, Standard or Challenge. Practice uses the same controls, pair ledger and reasoning monitor but stores a separate seed and autosave. That creates a useful learning loop: discover a deduction pattern in the Daily, then repeat the same kind of exact-cover reasoning on fresh boards without touching the saved Daily result or Today’s 6.
No archive doorway inflation
Daily intent is represented by this one focused page and the in-product date-stable mode. The project does not create a separate search page for every date, board size, difficulty adjective or “Dominosa today” synonym. Historical specialist results remain inside the browser experience. This keeps the acquisition surface tied to a real repeat-use workflow instead of multiplying near-duplicate landing pages.
How Daily difficulty changes the reasoning load
Easy dates use values 0 through 3, so there are only ten required domino types and twenty cells. The smaller board makes pair scarcity easy to scan and is a good place to learn the two basic forcing rules: a pair type with one remaining location and a cell with one remaining partner. Standard expands the inventory to twenty-one pair types across forty-two cells. Repeated number combinations become more common, so X marks and pair-ledger candidate counts matter more. Challenge uses values 0 through 6 and twenty-eight domino types across fifty-six cells. The rules are unchanged, but the larger candidate graph makes it useful to alternate deliberately between pair inventory and cell coverage instead of following one local area for too long.
The date selector chooses among those levels using a frozen deterministic schedule. Difficulty is therefore part of the Daily identity, not a server-side adjustment based on your account or a hidden rating. If a Challenge date feels too long, you can pause and return because the current state is stored locally.
Why deterministic replay matters for trust
A Daily puzzle is most useful when the same date means the same challenge. V0.130 derives the board from the calendar date, frozen local source bank and geometric transform. Reloading does not silently replace a hard board with a different one, and another browser using the same release can reconstruct the same source-transform selection. This also makes QA concrete: the verifier can enumerate every date in a year, count the actual level distribution, check deterministic replay and measure distinct starts.
The selector does not download a fresh puzzle from a server, so a temporary network failure cannot swap or remove the day’s board. The PWA shell also includes the Dominosa game files and the two focused information surfaces. The release still remains public and no Production or Hostinger deployment occurs without explicit approval.
Continue in the real puzzle
The live game page contains the frozen verified board bank, deterministic selector, Pair and X-mark tools, candidate ledger, Forced move monitor, Undo/Redo, Pause, Check, Verified Hint and browser-local records described here. The explanation is not a substitute for the product.
