Daily Euchre

Return to one reproducible five-trick hand for the selected date. The deal and dealer stay stable while every bid, discard, lone choice and play remains yours.

One date fixes the starting Euchre hand

Daily Euchre turns the selected date into a deterministic local seed. The shuffle, dealer, turned card and deterministic AI tie-breaks are stable for that date. Your bid, lone decision, dealer discard and card choices remain interactive, so the result is not scripted even though the starting conditions are reproducible.

The same two bidding rounds apply

The Daily route does not simplify bidding. Round one asks whether to order the turned suit. If all four seats pass, round two asks for one of the other three suits and uses stick-the-dealer if necessary. A resumed Daily hand keeps the exact bidding round, pass history, current bidder and accepted trump.

The left bower is part of the Daily identity

Because the same cards return on the same date, the same potential left bower returns too. The core treats that Jack as trump before follow-suit checks or trick comparison. This prevents a refresh or resume from interpreting a card differently in a later session.

Daily can include a human dealer discard

If the turned suit is ordered while you are dealer, the upcard joins your hand and the interface waits for you to choose one discard. The autosave records the six-card temporary hand and accepted trump, so leaving at that point does not cause the browser to choose a discard for you on return.

Going alone remains a real Daily decision

The lone option is available during both bidding rounds. Choosing it removes your partner from the active-player rotation for all five tricks. The saved Daily state records maker, lone status and active seats so resuming cannot accidentally bring the partner back into the hand.

Every card click is checked against effective suit

If you can follow the effective suit of the lead, cards outside that suit are not legal. The special left-bower identity is included in this check. Daily uses the same legal-play function as Practice, Match to 10, AI play and the independent release verifier.

Five tricks produce one transparent score event

At the end of the fifth trick, the engine totals tricks by partnership. Makers with three or four tricks get one point, a partnered sweep gets two, a lone sweep gets four, and failed makers give the defenders two. The result object stores the maker team, trick count, lone flag, sweep flag, euchre flag and exact score delta.

Daily history is separate from Today’s 6

Completing Daily Euchre writes only to the Euchre specialist history and streak. It does not create a seventh main Daily slot, replace a game, or write into the Today’s 6 `days` object. Cumulative QA checks the frozen 2026 six-game sequence independently and explicitly rejects an Euchre injection.

A completed date remains completed

The final `handEnd` result stays in the Daily autosave. Reopening the same date restores the completed hand rather than silently generating a second attempt. The stored history can therefore represent one stable Daily identity without an account or server database.

Hint is useful but marks the hand Assisted

During bidding, Hint can recommend pass, order or a legal trump call. During a dealer pickup it can suggest a discard. During play it can highlight a legal card. Using Hint or Undo marks the Daily hand Assisted and that fact is stored with the local result.

Daily AI still receives only public information

Date stability does not give the computers extra information. Their bidding decisions see only their own hand plus dealer, round and turned card. Their play decisions see only their own remaining cards plus public trump, maker, current trick, cards already played, trick counts and scores. Your hidden cards and unseen kitty remain outside the AI view.

Daily difficulty changes heuristics, not legality

Easy, Standard and Hard all use the same deterministic deal and exact rules for a chosen date. Difficulty changes bid thresholds and card preferences only. It cannot make an illegal call, ignore follow suit, reveal hidden cards or change scoring.

Daily is compact enough to replay as a lesson

A single five-trick hand makes it practical to review one date and understand why a trump call worked or failed. You can compare the maker’s trick target, when the bowers appeared, whether a partner was already winning a trick, and how the final score followed from those decisions.

Match to 10 uses the same hand engine

If one Daily hand is too short, Match to 10 carries partnership scores through rotating dealers. The same bidding, bower, follow-suit, loner and scoring functions are reused. Daily does not have a special weaker ruleset just because it is shorter.

Local streaks are factual, not global ratings

The browser can count consecutive dates you completed this specialist and store the result for each date. It does not claim a worldwide percentile, Elo or verified multiplayer rank because no such population exists behind the page.

No wagering or paid randomness

Daily Euchre is a free local strategy challenge with no wagering, bets, chips, prizes, stakes, purchases or paid random mechanics. The date controls a reproducible shuffle solely so the same browser can return to the same Daily hand.
