Daily Pyramid Solitaire

One date-stable one-pass deal with browser-local history and a specialist streak separate from Today’s 6.

Daily Pyramid gives one date one stable deal

Daily Pyramid derives its shuffle from the calendar date and uses the one-pass stock rule. Opening the same date again in this build starts from the same twenty-eight pyramid cards and the same twenty-four-card stock. The specialist Daily identity is separate from the platform’s established Today’s 6 rotation, so playing it never consumes or modifies one of those six slots.

The objective is still to clear all twenty-eight pyramid cards

Only exposed pyramid cards can be used. Pair two exposed ranks when they total thirteen, or remove an exposed King alone. The top waste card can pair with one exposed pyramid card under the same arithmetic rule. The deal ends in a win when the pyramid is empty, even if unused stock or waste cards remain.

Daily uses the stricter one-pass stock rule

The Daily contract does not recycle the waste. Once the twenty-four stock cards have been drawn, only the current top waste card and remaining exposed pyramid cards are available. Practice offers an optional three-pass mode, but Daily intentionally fixes one rule so two people opening the same date are solving the same type of challenge.

Date stability is not a solvability promise

The deterministic shuffle guarantees replayability, not that every date has been mathematically proved solvable. This release does not place a “winnable” badge on an unproved deal. If a future version adds a solver-verified Daily bank, that proof would need its own frozen evidence. Until then the honest contract is simply same date, same local deal.

Daily history records what actually happened

A completed Daily entry records whether the pyramid was cleared, whether assistance was used and how many moves the finished state used. A win advances the specialist Daily streak; an unfinished or lost deal does not masquerade as a solve. All history stays in browser-local storage and can disappear if site data is cleared.

Hint remains a legal-move aid

Daily Hint can point to an exposed King, a valid pair, the next stock draw or another currently legal action. It does not claim that following the hint guarantees the deal can be completed. The session is marked Assisted immediately, preserving a clean distinction between independent play and play that used guidance.

Undo keeps Daily useful for study

If you want to understand why a branch failed, Undo restores the exact previous position. That is intentionally allowed in Daily because this specialist is a practice platform rather than a competitive server. The cost is transparent: the session becomes Assisted. A clean win therefore means you reached the clear without Hint, Undo or Restart.

Expose cards with purpose

The bottom row provides seven initial candidates, but the important information is above them. Two removed neighbors can expose a new card in the row above. Before spending a pair, check whether it opens a rank that complements another exposed card or the waste. This small habit often creates longer sequences without touching the stock.

Use the stock as timing information

Because the waste exposes only one card at a time, drawing can both create and hide opportunities. If a useful six appears while an exposed seven is available, pairing immediately may be sensible because the six will be buried by the next draw. The one-pass rule makes that timing decision more meaningful than in relaxed multi-pass Practice.

Kings should be visible decisions

Kings remove by themselves, but the game does not auto-delete them. Keeping the action explicit lets you see which cards the King was covering and makes Undo exact. It also prevents a hidden helper from changing the state before you have considered whether another exposed pair should be taken first.

The complement table becomes fast with repetition

Ace–Queen, two–Jack, three–ten, four–nine, five–eight and six–seven are the six two-card combinations. King is the seventh pattern because it leaves alone. Daily repetition turns those pairs into quick recognition without adding artificial timers, reaction scores or claims about cognitive age.

Same-date reopen restores the completed state

When Daily finishes, the final pyramid, stock, waste, result and local history are saved. Reopening the same date therefore shows the completed state rather than quietly dealing a fresh board under the same Daily label. This behavior is tested alongside migration from the previous platform storage version.

The Daily streak belongs only to Pyramid Solitaire

This streak does not alter the main Today’s 6 streak or its frozen 2026 schedule. It is specialist-local history for people who choose to return to Pyramid Solitaire. That separation lets the platform add replayable specialist routines without destabilizing the existing Daily rotation contract.

No account, no wagering and no paid deal

The date seed, game state and streak live on the device. There is no account requirement and no wagering, chips, prizes, stakes, purchases, paid random cards or “buy another chance” mechanic. Daily is a simple free solitaire challenge, and the exact same engine is available in unlimited Practice.

Mobile Daily keeps all seven rows readable

The pyramid scales to the phone width while preserving every row and card rank. Covered cards remain visible but non-interactive. Stock, waste, pass information, Hint and Undo sit below the board without changing the underlying rules. Desktop simply gives the same controls more space.

Use Practice when you want to replay a concept

Daily is one fixed date challenge. Practice is where you can generate fresh seeds, compare one-pass with three-pass stock rules and revisit the same seed through its URL identity. The core pairing and exposure rules are identical, so strategy learned in Practice transfers directly to Daily.
