Daily Times Tables

Play the same 24-prompt multiplication set for the date, with every table from 1 to 12 represented twice and a balanced mix of product recall and missing-factor recall.

One balanced multiplication challenge per date

The Daily Times Tables set is deterministic for the local date. Every table from 1 through 12 appears exactly twice, creating 24 prompts. One prompt for each table asks for the product and the other asks for a missing factor. The prompt order is shuffled deterministically, so refreshing the page does not quietly replace a hard set with an easier one.

First-attempt accuracy is the main result. A miss still gives one clean retry before the fact relationship is shown, but the original miss remains part of the score and can enter Weak Facts. This keeps Daily useful as a learning routine instead of encouraging repeated guessing until the screen turns green.

The separate Daily Times Tables history stores the date, score, first-attempt correct count and streak locally. Replaying the same date can be useful for practice, but it does not create another Today’s 6 completion and does not add another specialist day to the streak.

Because every table appears each day, the challenge avoids a seed that accidentally over-represents easy tables such as 1, 2, 5 or 10. The partner factors change by date, so the same table can test different fact combinations over time.

After a Daily round, Weak Facts is the most useful next step if several facts were missed. If the result was already clean, Missing Factor or the 60-second Sprint changes the retrieval demand without creating separate SEO pages for every table or configuration.

The Daily result is a browser-local practice record. It is not a multiplication certificate, school grade, intelligence measure or comparison with other students. No login, remote classroom database or paid service is required.

Why the daily set is balanced

A purely random multiplication quiz can produce an uneven session: several easy ×1 or ×10 facts may appear while a harder table never shows up. The Daily Times Tables generator avoids that problem by scheduling exactly two prompts for every table from 1 through 12. One is direct product recall and one is missing-factor recall. The partner factor and final order are deterministic for the date, so the challenge changes tomorrow without changing when the page is refreshed today.

This structure makes the Daily useful as a broad check-in rather than a replacement for targeted practice. A clean result means all twelve tables were sampled in both retrieval directions. A lower result points naturally toward Weak Facts or a selected-table Practice round. The Daily itself does not attempt to label a table as mastered after one correct answer.

How retries and streaks work

The first submitted answer is what counts toward the Daily score. If that answer is wrong, one retry is allowed before the relationship is revealed. The miss can enter Weak Facts even if the retry is correct, because correcting an error is useful but should not erase the information that the fact was initially uncertain.

The specialist streak records whether the date’s Daily Times Tables challenge was completed. Replaying the same date can be useful for fluency, but it cannot add another day to the streak. This history is intentionally isolated from Today’s 6, so a multiplication specialist session never manufactures a six-game Daily completion or changes that separate Daily Score.

For a short routine, complete the Daily first, review any Weak Facts that appeared, then stop. For a longer routine, follow with a 12- or 24-question selected-table round or a Sprint only after accuracy is stable. The sequence keeps the product focused on learning and replay rather than on a single speed result.
