Checkpoint scores use the first answer only. A real first miss can enter the inherited Weak Words queue; unseen words are never fabricated as misses.
Production starts from an English meaning and requires a kana reading or accepted romaji instead of a recognition-only choice.
This is not an official JLPT vocabulary list, grade, percentile or proficiency certification.
Meaning starts from Japanese, Reading asks you to produce the kana reading, and Reverse starts from English. Daily Words mixes all three so recognition alone cannot carry every round.
Correct first attempts move a word through local 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30-day review spacing. A miss returns it to today and adds it to Weak Words. These are schedule stages, not a memory probability.
The JLPT does not publish a definitive vocabulary list. This release uses a curated beginner bank and does not claim that its 300 words equal an official N5 syllabus or certify proficiency.
