Africa Countries Map Quiz
Learn where the 54 countries in the Africa practice core are by finding each prompted country directly on the interactive world map.

The same verified world-country map engine is filtered to Africa. Countries outside the selected region are de-emphasized, prompts come only from the 54-country pool, and a full regional round works through every country in that pool once.
Why use a regional map drill
Africa has many neighboring countries with similar-sized map areas, so a text-only country list does not fully test where each country actually sits.
How the regional round works
The prompt names one country from the Africa pool. Click its location on the map. A first-try find receives full credit; a second or third attempt receives partial credit; after three misses the target is revealed and the drill moves on. The result separates first-try finds from total misses and shows elapsed time.
Build anchors before speed
Use coasts, the Sahara, the Horn of Africa, the Great Lakes region and southern Africa as anchors. Repeated full-map passes help turn those anchors into a connected spatial model.
Full coverage without repeated easy prompts
A full Africa round contains 54 targets. The seeded selection avoids repeating a country inside that round, so finishing the complete set means every configured country in this region has appeared. Shorter 10- or 30-question options remain available when the selected pool is large enough.
Designed for desktop and mobile
The map can be zoomed in or reset without changing the current question. Small countries use larger invisible-or-visual helper targets where necessary so a correct memory is not defeated by a few pixels of touch precision. Keyboard activation is also supported on active map targets.
Move between regional and world recall
After the regional map feels familiar, return to the World Countries Map Quiz to mix Africa with the rest of the world. You can also switch to Countries of the World free recall, where you type names and watch the map fill instead of receiving a country prompt.
