PLAY THE REAL SPRINT

Start with a 60-second mixed run

The timer does not start until you press Start. Correct clean solves build a streak; wrong full guesses cost only time, while Nudge or Skip breaks that clean streak.

A different outcome from ordinary anagram rounds

Quick 5 and Deep 10 are accuracy-first sets with a fixed number of words. Sprint is deliberately different: the clock is fixed and the goal is to keep moving through a seeded queue before time expires. That makes it useful when you want a short speed session rather than another fixed-length set.

Mixed Sprint keeps the early queue balanced across Easy, Standard and Hard bands instead of drawing a long accidental streak from one band. Difficulty-specific Sprints use only that band. Every displayed answer still comes with its stored clue, so the task remains clue-backed unscrambling rather than guessing an arbitrary dictionary word from letters alone.

Transparent help and scoring

Shuffle only rearranges remaining tiles and is free. Nudge locks the next correct prefix letter, which makes that word assisted and breaks the clean streak. Skip shows the current answer and advances without counting it as solved. A wrong full arrangement does not subtract an invented penalty; it costs time and breaks the clean streak.

The completion screen reports raw solved words, clean solves, solve rate, best clean streak, Nudges and Skips. The local specialist PB compares solved count only against the same timer and difficulty, then uses clean solves and streak as tie-breakers. The 0–1,000 platform score is an internal game score, not a vocabulary percentile or population ranking.

Practice depth without changing historical Daily boards

V0.45 expands repeatable Practice from 240 to 360 curated answers, with exactly 120 answers in each Easy, Standard and Hard band. The established 240-word source remains frozen for the rotating Daily Anagram, Archive replays and the standalone date-stable Daily Anagram Challenge. That containment means a larger Practice bank does not silently rewrite previously reproducible date-seeded Daily sets.

Local specialist records

Anagram now keeps durable local counts for fixed-round Practice and Sprint. Round play tracks completed Practice rounds, clean clears and clean best time by difficulty plus round length. Sprint tracks total Sprint runs and the best solved count for each timer plus difficulty combination. These records stay on this browser; there is no account, public leaderboard or claimed global rank.
